A suitable venue prior to taking in the rugby at St James Park, comfortable relaxing surroundings with excellent beer complimented by the wonderful homemade toasties.

Not a particularly busy night and I had to ask to be served as the staff were too busy chatting. When they did come round to getting us some drinks it seemed like it was an absolute chore for them. Rude, unenthusiastic and slow. Shame......More

This pub is close to the RVI hospital in Newcastle and to university buildings.  I would think it is probably more a student pub.  The decor is old and in need of updating. The walls and ceilings are covered in beer mats. We were not...More

The Trent House has been around for as long as I remember growing up as a bairn, however I only started drinking here a year or so back after I was recommended it by a friend. I can't stress enough just how good it is...More

Small and friendly with a real laid back feel to the place. A bit set back from the centre but only a short walk. Nice ale selection and pool table is a bonus
