This is a lovely indoor old style market. Lots of food stalls and clothing, and so many other things! It was just great to walk around and look at everything. Would recommend if your in the area.

A really great part of town to walk around, with its interesting selection of listed buildings. Plenty of places to stop for a snack or a coffee in the heart of Newcastle.

Great value (£5 or £3 for +60's) walking tour explaining the history of Grainger Town.Takes 1.5 hours at a gentle pace generally down the slope to end at the river. Well informed and pleasant guide (thank you Jan). Lovely weather when we did it.

There is no entrance fee for the Grainger Market. It's still a bustling retail market with a wide variety of goods on offer. Just browse, look around at the architecture and, who knows, perhaps make a purchase or two... More
