Fascinating insight into the history and workings of a tide-mill. The building has been lovingly restored and there are interactive displays and excellent information boards as well as a small shop selling keepsakes of the visit.

Great place to visit. Very interesting and the tour guides were very informative. We didn’t get to see it work but this depends on the time of day and the tide.

I had visited the Tide Mill in the early days of its restoration but had never seen it turning, and this time I did (thanks to its informative website). It came alive, and I was fascinated.

Very interesting place to visit, excellent explanations by volunteer guides. Worth going to watch a flour-milling session to see the mechanics in action, timing governed by tides.

Todays mill rebuilt in the 17th century. After renovations again re-opened in 2012 and is now one of only two tide mills in the UK that regularly grinds wheat grain producing wholemeal flour for resale.
