Really nice park.. great avenue of trees, good for dogs, not overcrowded this time of the year anyway… would come again. Coffee was good in the dog friendly cafe which is clean tidy and what you would expect for a council park with a modern twist

The park is a great place to view lots of different trees, whilst having some large open areas for peoples further enjoyment. The part is large enough to accommodate some enclosed pitches which I assume teams are able to hire.
There is a children’s play area that appears to be fenced off to ensure the youngsters don’t escape!
The cafe sells organic produce, not necessarily to most people taste or pocket, as it is expensive. Unfortunately the member of staff I dealt with either didn’t understand or wish to promote good customer relations.

This is a lovely park, the children (aged 2, 5 and 6) really enjoyed the walk. We took the big pushchair with us which was easy to push around even in the woodland areas, so it’s very buggy friendly. We didn’t take our dog as it was a spur of the moment day out, however, we will definitely be taking him there for a nice walk.
The cafe, “Grounds” has doggy treats, amazing cakes, delicious coffee and a great selection of ice cream (amongst other things). We bought the children a small cone each, one of them wasn’t sure whether he’d like the mango flavour but the barista behind the counter let him try some first, what great service!
We finished up our day by taking the children on the playground, their favourite part! Great selection of equipment. Happy children!
We will be back.

Again, as in most years a wonderful display of daffodils up the main avenue and its

A huge park with woodland - very quiet and excellent for an autumn walk, or getting lost in the maze!

I can't belive we haven't been here before - what a gem! Loads of space for children, adults and dogs. A fantastic cafe : we had a delicious panini each and shared a very meaty sausage roll with the dog. Great smoothies and even doggy ice cream - will definitely be back.

Fantastic park for walks and if you just need to get away from it all. Good mix of open and forrest areas.

What number bus goes there from the bus station

You can get the Breeze number 1 bus from the bus station to the Nowton Estate, near where Nowton Park is (e.g. just opposite Bevis Walk there is a bus stop which is probably the nearest to Nowton Park), then it will only take another 5 minutes walk to get to Nowton Park.
Because some of my party are disabled I would like to know how near it is to the Bus and coach station. For instance it is a real challenge to walk from the coach to the market stalls in the centre of the town,
How near is this park to the bus station

It’s to far to walk but you should be able to get a bus from town center to the park
Hi, I am currently a member of the National Citizen Service (NCS), and I would like to ask if we could use the area to raise money. The money will go to mencap, a charity which supports people with learning disabilities. We plan to do a 5-10k run.
Thank you
