Our first experience of a curry filled yorkie, which was nothing short of epic! We're still laughing about our conversations with you all. So warm and welcoming and just a brilliant time than you so much.
We'll be over on our next visit!

Sheffield is justifiably famous for its great pubs, one of the best we found was on day one of our three night stay in the steel city namely The Three Tuns Pub .
Located just off the beautiful Paradise Square ( stunning historic Georgian square ) ,the pub looks superb ,the interior is fantastic, dark wood features ,beautiful floral wallpaper, an interesting dark wood serving bar, lovely pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub all housed in a beautiful Victorian era building ,its just a fantastic pub to rest your legs and enjoy some great real ale's.
We were here on a Monday afternoon, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered a pale ale each at the bar and then settled in the corner of this cosy pub ,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in.
The pale ale was perfect, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish, it was just so good being in such a fantastic and vibrant pub enjoying a quality pale ale ,these are the type of pubs I love, the type of pubs I grew up in, the backbone if English heritage.
We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to The Three Tuns Pub we were totally impressed.
The Three Tuns Pub is easy to locate along Silver Street.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, Midday till 11pm.
Friday & Saturday, Midday till Midnight.
Sunday, Midday till 10pm.
An absolutely fantastic pub, one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area or planning to visit Sheffield.

The Three Tuns on Silver street is a fantastic pub that offers an excellent range of cask ales and a decent food menu.
Housed in a very distinct flatiron shaped building with a traditional pub interior with superb etched glass windows and wood panelling and excellent seating options throughout the pubs interior.
We came here early in the afternoon while on our way to the Crow Inn and decided to go in here for a couple of beer's.When here we had a couple of pints of cask ale's called Three Tuns which where excellent and well priced.
The Three Tuns is an excellent pub and well worth visiting and is very easy to locate from Cathedral tram stop it's a short walk.

Not far from the main street bars and restaurants a little oasis of a real pub with good drinks, bar snacks, service and great people, one on the must return list when next in Sheffield.

A fantastic looking building from the outside being a mini Flatiron for those of you who know your Manhattan building architecture, and a very comfortable pub on the inside.
It was being quite well utilised for my mid Saturday afternoon visit and all the red seating was taken in the carpeted sharp end as was the green seating in the carpeted blunt end but I did manage to get on a high table in the wooden floored middle bar section.
Five of the six hand pumps were in use and alongside J.W. lees Bitter, Theakston Shot in the dark, Ringwood Shy Giant, and Abbeydale Moonshine was a very decent Titanic Plum Porter.
A good traditional interior with some period features, none more so than the print close to where I was sitting of the original room footprint of the pub when it actually was three separate rooms that got me off my seat to take a look where the original public bar (sharp end), and snug and smoke rooms (flat end ) had been.
There are two flat screen TV’s, one at either end which were showing the Ladies Wimbledon Singles Final at the time but both were muted and didn’t really intrude into the general ambiance of conversation in the pub.
Yes the ale line up is more mainstream than a lot of the more illustrious ale venues nearby in town but I still found it had a lot to offer and was a very good pub to wile away an hour on a Saturday afternoon.

I sought this pub out, along with nearby historical Paradise Square, as it looks so cool in photos. You can tell a lot of old Sheffield's been demolished around it, but the Three Tuns survives like a defiant museum piece, a narrow finger of a building jabbing accusingly at the soulless modern wasteland that surrounds it. To my delight, it was just as pretty inside. All credit to those who care for it, as the décor’s quaint and sensitively designed, with lovely little round lamps everywhere. And all is clean and polished.

I was up for lunch and a disappointed to see a menu of what only seemed like snacky bites. But the dish of pulled pork and cheesy chips I chose was super-tasty and filling. It came out piping hot, which I always like. With it sank a nice pint of Symonds cider.

This jewel of a pub was bang empty while I was there; but I recommend it.
