Park your car at several different locations around the city and just simply pay for a bus journey into the city centre. Friendly staff and a great service, well priced at £3.50.

It's easier and less expensive to take the bus to York city center, tons to do. Shops, shambles restiurants and historic sites in the city center all walking distance.

Only way to get into York if you are in a car. Works pretty efficiently. Most times the buses are clean and the drivers courteous. Should really be free if they want lots more people to use it.

No, you can't park overnight at any Park & Ride in York. It's just for parking your car and going into town because there is very little long-stay parking (or short-stay for that matter) in the town centre. The Park... More

I doubt it - there are height barriers there to stop people from camping overnight. It's for parking your car then getting the bus into town - no overnight staying allowed. Book into a campsite - there are plenty nearby.
