Fantastic place, where you are positively encouraged to sit on furniture, try out games, and even enjoy a small sherry! You get a real feel of it being a family home, rather than a "museum" and the volunteers are friendly, knowledgable and interesting. The gardens...More

Take a bus from the railway station. A beautiful Arts and Crafts house, owned by the Terry family (Chocolate Orange fame). Stunning gardens and beautiful interiors. Lovely restaurant on terrace or inside with delicious homemade food.

My favourite N T property as it is so relaxed, hands on and visitor friendly. Excellent cafe, we ate outside on the terrace overlooking the fabulous gardens.

Lovely place to visit. If going in June/July watch out for the flowers on the Tulip tree near the entrance door. Homely place for a chocolate factory owner.

Goddards was the 2oth Century family home of the Terry family; Quaker chocolate makers. It's not a grand house, but full of style and it is easy to picture the family life lived there.

Sorry this Goddards house is in York which is about 300 miles from Brighton and would take most of a day to get there. Chipping Norton is also miles away from both Goddards on York and Brighton. A taxi or uber would be very... More
