An Adventure to Remember
Apr 2018 • Couples
When we heard Time Run was closing down we took a trip to London for one day just to play The Lance of Longinus and The Celestial Chain. Our expectations were high as we had heard so many great things, but we really had no idea how superb it was all going to be. From the emails you receive to get you ready for the day, to when you arrive and press the buzzer at the 'exact time' you are told. This was truly an escape room like no other, and we have yet to find anything that comes close.
Even though we played in April, we still talk about what an amazing time we had. From the moment the doors open, the journey through time starts. Not only are the escape rooms like entering something out of a film, but even the intro before you begin from Aubrey (he was amazing!), to the run-down of how we did from another of the team were all crafted so brilliantly.
We've already booked our tickets for Sherlock: The Game is Now in January and we really can't wait. We're secretly hoping Babbage will make a small appearance somewhere!
For everyone behind Time Run - thanks for creating such an epic adventure to remember!

Superb games

This was one of the best escape game locations in the country, without a doubt. It's a real shame they've now closed, but I'm excited to see what they move onto next.

Excellent game!
Apr 2018 • Family
My wife, kids (13 and 15) and I played this in its closing month and it's a real shame it had to go. I hope it opens again some day, because this is really one of my favorite escape games thusfar.. the decor is beautiful and the story nice and simple, yet surprising and FUN..

A ton of fun in under 2 Hours
Apr 2018 • Family
We did the first game not knowing what to expect, but afterwards couldn't wait to do the second one. They were 2 different stories and therefore different puzzles. It was myself, my husband and our 2 children aged 14 and 10. I thought the younger one might find it difficult, but she had lots of ideas and input!
I would totally recommend this to everyone, a great time and very different to the usual London sights. Can't wait to do the new venue!

Both games played before it closes
Apr 2018 • Couples
We were lucky enough to plan a trip to London almost specifically to play Time Run. Both games were top of the range as expected and they certainly didn't let you down.
The Lance of Longinus was a fun traditional escape game with many variety of puzzles and you were constantly busy. The great thing was it was of the standard of three escape games as you time travelled.
The Celestial Chain was different and was the first time playing an escape game I ever genuinely felt under time pressure and you certainly are. We played as a two and it is normally for a minimum of three and that is certainly what is required. Another air of hands and ideas would have got us progressing even further.
The pre game intro from host and then Babbage were very well done and top class production quality. The post game service with the memory is a really classy touch.

Great fun....please open again soon

Really superb escape room, both kids loved it (as did us adults) - especially teenager who is incredibly hard to please! Loved all the interactive elements, what a shame you are closing. Hope you find a new venue and will definitely visit again.

RUN to Time Run...time is almost out
Apr 2018 • Couples
We have played over 150 escape rooms with over 30 played in London - both of these rooms are in our top 5 London escape rooms. Problem is the building is being converted and the venue is closing April 25th - HURRY. These games are unique and worth the visit.
The Lance of Longinus is a more traditional game in that you have the full 60 minutes to apportion organically. You get to explore multiple time periods.
The Celestial Chain has a unique twist in that your stay in any one time period is strictly apportioned and them you must move on to the next room. We were expecting this so we fine but I see that this non-traditional escape room method caught some people off guard.
We completed both successfully with just a 2 person team - but these rooms are clearly better suited to 4 to 6 players.
We have seen integrated video elements in many escape rooms but the production values of these videos were head and shoulders above all others - well made and immersive.

Good fun, quality set up, harder than I thought!

A good concept. Well organised to book and clear instructions beforehand and on arrival. Staff all very prepared and enthusiastic. Price not cheap but probably average. We did the celestial chain, easier to book and more slots available. Overall we needed about 90 mins including intro and exit. Some nice touches as you leave, will leave it as a surprise what. Can't give to much away but definitely would recommend. I was surprised at how bad I was at it though! Fun group activity, team building, family, friends etc. Can book with 3 or more.

So much fun!
Mar 2018 • Friends
Visited here with friends and we did the Celestial Chain escape. Was a really fun and challenging activity to do. We are so glad to have had the opportunity to visit this escape room before it closed! My favourite thing about it was that it had several rooms to work our way through. Everyone got a chance to do something in each room. So much lateral thinking, teamwork and good communication skills required, particularly in one of the rooms. I'm sad this place is closing!
The concept of going through time was good; however the back story did feel at times quite convoluted and unnecessary.

There are going to be two or three groups of us so is there a waiting area where we can get drinks and snacks or should we just go somewhere nearby?

nothing in the venue itself but several really nice bar/restaurants just outside to sit and have drinks or food

Hi, just wanted to know which Time Run experience you preferred? (if you've done both). The Lance of Longinus or the Celestial Chain?

i realise this is an old thread, but for anyone else looking for an answer to this question, let me give you an emphatic one. Lance of Longinus is great. The celestial chain is abysmal!!!

We did the lance and really enjoyed it... They told us they were going to change it all to something different so we're tempted to have another go

Is it possible for a team of 2 to complete?

Yes. We did Lance of Longinus as a team of 2 a few weeks ago. There's a fair bit to get through but the puzzles aren't too difficult. We managed to obtain the lance in 63 minutes so we had a little extra time allowed. Celestial Chain I believe is really not recommended for 2 but we loved LoL so much we're considering doing CC just for the experience.

Its what's commonly called a Locked Room, or Escape Game. You are locked in a room and you have to solve puzzles to escape. This one has a Time Travel theme.
While you are "locked in"there are, of course, emergency exits that are clearly marked and visible, and as the crew are watching your progress you can leave at any time if you need to.
Without spoilers there is a part of this game that has to have three people, so three is the minimum, with five the maximum.
