Came out of a clinic appointment from around the corner, decided we ended some lunch and a drink. Ground floor bar for drinks only, upstairs for food. Very homely, real log and Cole fires. Excellent food and service, definitely want to go back

Just off Marylebone High Street and about 5 minutes walk to Oxford Street. It is a Sam Smiths pub selling only the products of that brewery, don't be bothered by that, they are proud of their drinks and they all, and especially the beers, taste great, and are very reasonably priced at about £3.60 a pint for their hand pulled yorkshire bitter. There is a upstairs restaurant where 5 of us ate, hearty fare, good sized portions, well cooked and a reasonable choice. I had steak and Kidney pei with chips and vedge,at £10.50, tasty with plenty of filling. Vegetarian section on menu, though limited. We had great evening, very reasonable prices, vfriendy staff and not too far back to the tube.

This pub looks large from the outside as it occupies a corner spot. Once you get inside, it has an upstairs for food and a small bar downstairs. Drinks are limited due to serving pretty much what they brew and the appeal must be to a certain crowd. Popular at lunchtime with local workers opting to spend their time there, and also the barman's buddies. I did love the stained glass windows though.

The food was cold and expensive for what it was, no flavour it was really horrible and tasted like microwaved food. The staff there are also unfriendly. I wish I had listened to all the other negative reviews and not bothered coming here. There are much better pubs in the area than this one.
