- hans gLondon, United Kingdom1 contributionBest London Music Venue!Wow! What an amazing venue! I went to Eek-a-Mouse last night and had the best time ever. The atmosphere was incredible, the performance was amazing and so intimate. I also ate there and the food was so yummy. I had the monkfish which was so delicious!! The venue staff were also so kind so thank you to them as well. I would definitely recommend for a fun & cool night out. There are always so many genres playing too! I would 100% recommend The Jazz Cafe!Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 4, 2024
- Guide17693641162United Kingdom1 contributionESG gig!!!We had such a wonderful time at ESG on Friday! It was great to see these legends live, and it filled me with nostalgia and bliss. Jazz cafe accommodated them perfectly, and even screened their home made documentary prior to the performance. We had a table, with great view and we really enjoyed the food. Also were able to have a little dance when we wanted. All in all a great night, so grateful to have been there!Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 6, 2024
- JJN29Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom305 contributionsGreat atmosphere for a sell out Osibisa gig that was super safe and really well organised. It’s been some years since I had been to The Jazz Cafe. I wasn’t sure what to expect for the Osibisa gig. However from security at the entrance to the easy access to the bar, to the standing area, it is really well organised not over full. I was with a couple of mates and we had a really enjoyable evening watching a band that I first saw in the seventies playing just up the road in a long gone club in Belsize Park. Well done Jazz CafeVisited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 6, 2024
- Ruby H1 contributionDelicious food and amazing service!Iconic venue, and incredible food in the restaurant. Went to see ESG and was not disappointed by the performance, the service, the ambience. The food blew us away, the yellow curry in particular was delicious, and the salt and pepper squid too! Excellent service from the restaurant staff, who were so friendly, sweet and attentive - really made the experience special. Hope to be back soon!!Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 20, 2024
- Riley W1 contributionOkay, not sure if I'd go backWent to see Dream Cloud Collective's cover of Childish Gambino's 'Awaken My Love' album. The person on lighting did a great job and the instrumentals of the band really good, curly haired woman amazing but I think some of the other vocals were just too high for the songs. The drinks are so expensive (London prices tbf) - and pricing a bit inconsistent as my friend was getting drinks cheaper but I was being charged £16.50 for a double... I think the place could really do with just some bar stools at the back and by the bar because it turned into just an uncomfortable night. But the music was decent, lights were great, just think the venue itself needs to take into account some comfort because its very small - some bar stools really wouldn't go amiss.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 18, 2024
- James H1 contribution5* restaurant and wonderful musicCame to see the excellent Brad Stank on April Fool's day, what a fool I feel that I havent been to the restaurant before! Both service and food were excellent, our server Harry was wonderful all night- very attentive and chatty. Music was great too, sounded awesome and Brad gave a great performance. Can't wait to go back!Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 22, 2024

Waiting staff are very welcoming and attentive, food seems to get better every time ( quite an achievement for revisits). The view is outstanding from any table, the atmosphere electric. Gorgeous surrounding, dark but beautiful lighting, Bar staff downstairs are also knowledgeable, courteous and charming. The staff on the door, very professional. Everyone is doing everything right! An unmissable London experience that will have you coming back.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 5, 2024
- Ian S2 contributionsMusic ok but why the wait ?More a review of particular gig than the Jazz cafe itself although Jazz cafe could do better. Went to Light of the World gig, no information on stage times so were subjected to 90 + minutes of DJ music, could have listened to Craig Charles on 6 music for a better selection. Finally 2 hours after doors opened live music started. Obviously designed for bar sales etc but a long time to be hanging around. Jazz cafe should mention on their website expected stage times so you can plan accordingly and not have so much time standing around - poor customer serviceVisited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 11, 2024
- Glyn B1 contributionA great experience!Strolled along to the Jazz Cafe on Monday evening as I was in London staying at my daughter's in Islington. I'd seen Lady Wray and Brainstorm the previous week in Leeds so thought I'd turn up ticketless and try my luck. ( the gig was sold out). One of the guys on the door said join the queue and I'll go and find out if there are any spares. When I got to the front he said just go to the kiosk. The young lady at the kiosk said 'it's your lucky day! Someone left an unwanted ticket and it's a freebie.' I would have gladly paid but she was having none of it. Anyway the gig and everything about it was great. The door guys are gentlemen. Thanks to the person who left the ticket also. I would advise everyone to visit The Jazz Cafe, it's class! - Marty S1 contributionJazz Cafe!!!Went to see a performance at the Jazz Cafe. We sat in the restaurant and the food and service was impeccable, absolutely top notch. The band sounded incredible, and played a blinder of a performance. All in all would highly reccomend the jazz cafe, the staff were so friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. Great food and drinks, and all at a decent price. 5 Stars.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 17, 2024

My favourite music venue in London. Every time I visit them I leave amazed. Sound quality is perfect, lights great too. I recommend to book a table in restaurant, having a great meal in a balcony while watching a band playing it’s just unreal!

I recently attended Carolina Deslandes concert at Jazz Cafe, and it was an unforgettable experience. The venue boasted exceptional sound quality, allowing every note and nuance to resonate beautifully throughout the space. In addition to the sound, the lighting was thoughtfully designed, creating an inviting atmosphere that complemented the music perfectly. I highly recommend this club to anyone looking to enjoy live music in a vibrant and immersive setting.

I cannot recommend enough!! We went for a birthday dinner and the staff were so attentive and went above and beyond to ensure it was a memorable evening. The restaurant experience is like no other and it was great to have the option of watching the performance over dinner and then joining the crowd once finished.

The music gigs here are a bit of a rip off to be honest. The bands/artists generally tend to only play for about an hour / hour and 15 mins at best. Doors open at 7pm and you have little choice but to buy expensive drinks whilst you wait for the band to finally come on stage around 9pm. Then it’s all over by 10.15pm.

2 standard price ‘standing’ tickets were bought in July for a gig happening on 7 November. No concessions were offered by Ticketweb for wheelchair users and their carers, although I later discovered that a carer’s ticket might be supplied upon request, following a ticket purchase.
A simple enquiry seeking confirmation of accessibility arrangements was sent to the Jazz Cafe in July, and then again a week prior to the gig, receiving holding replies on both occasions. I became so exasperated by the lack of response that I cancelled our transport plans and requested a refund, which was ultimately refused by Ticketweb. I now have absolutely no confidence in the Jazz Cafe and their consideration of disabled people, and urge everyone to boycott the venue.

A so-called live music venue should play live music, but the Jazz Cafe Wrap Up 24 was primarily artists playing recorded music.
Knots from the North East were excellent, but Marisia Osu (harpist) and Marla Kether (singer) were playing to loud recorded music which rendered the other musicians pointless. They could have been good sets had they had a band without a completely dominant "backing" track, but the sets were dull as we had paid to hear live music, not a recording.
Not sure what happened to the Paraguayan DJ who was also billed, but as most of the other bands were effectively DJs, perhaps he felt crowded out.
Very disappointing evening, but Knats are a great band and will go far.

We love this place and have had many great nights here - the food is fine and we like the restaurant. However, we came to see Alexander O’Neal and I don’t know who does the sound but the drums were waaaaay too loud. I suspect at 70 the legend’s voice has weakened but give the guy a chance. We couldn’t hear him at all and it was awful. £70 a head? You must be kidding. I see reviews back in 2016 for the same artist citing the same problem at this venue. Sorry Jazz Cafe but if you’re charging top dollar for a well known act don’t mess it up by having appalling mixing and having the star completely drowned out by the band. So poor for a dedicated music venue.

Jazz Cafe festival - the festival with no jazz. Whilst interpretation of the parameters of 'jazz' may vary, I believe it's a reasonable expectation that an event calling itself 'Jazz Cafe Festival' would include at least some music that loosely relates to the genre. So for starters the name of this festival was absurdly misleading. (I should caveat my experience of this festival by saying that I’ve enjoyed some great gigs at the Jazz Cafe in Camden, but the point still stands.)
The event was horribly overcrowded and queues for the food stalls were very long - we queued for about 40 mins. For a small local festival I didn’t expect this.
At least they had plenty of toilets - I'll give them that.
More importantly though, there were 4 different stages and the acts on the main stage could not be enjoyed without interference from the nearby so-called 'Plant' tent. Buena Vista All Stars (main stage) were fantastic, but their set suffered from this noise interference.
Nils Frahm was the reason I bought my ticket - I have wanted to see him live for years. What a disappointment that having waited all afternoon for his set, when he finally started to create his magic, all you could hear was booming horrible bass from the Plant tent. If I'd known where the mains was for the other tent I would have pulled the plug. My husband vowed the same. I basically attended this festival for over 7 hours, for a precious 30 mins of uninterrupted Nils Frahm (his set was 1.5h) at the very end of the night when all the other stages had finally closed.
Really the worst experience of a festival I’ve ever had. I will never go to this festival again, no matter how good the headline act.

Attended the Gyptian concert last night. After being suitably ‘hyped up’ by the resident DJ, everyone was up for a great night. Gyptian appeared on stage after 9pm to a packed audience with everyone singing along and enjoying themselves. By 9.50 it was all over. The audience was left looking at each other, looking at their watches and wondering if he was coming back on. We are talking 30/35 mins tops of him performing. The audience was shocked. We were left thinking someone was going to make an announcement. We thought our watches had stopped. A 30 minute performance is unacceptable, underwhelming and hugely disappointing. We were ripped off by Jazz Cafe last night, no doubt about that.

I’m deeply disappointed by my experience at Jazz Cafe on Friday, 11th October. What was supposed to be a birthday celebration turned into a distressing event due to the discriminatory and unprofessional behavior of one of your bouncers.
My cousin, who has ADHD, was excited about the music and drinking lemonade, not alcohol. Despite this, the bouncer accused her of being intoxicated and causing a disturbance. When I explained her condition, he responded offensively, saying she "shouldn’t be here then."
This treatment was not only inappropriate but also discriminatory towards someone with a disability. We left early, feeling unwelcome and unsafe.
I urge management to address this issue and train staff on how to treat individuals with disabilities respectfully. I won’t be returning, and I’ll advise others to avoid this venue.

I’m 16, am I able to get in to a show that starts at 7:00pm (to see a soul band) Would they ask for ID on entry? How strict actually are they, I’m aware that it’s an 18+ venue. Thanks in advance

Can someone tell me the restroom location at the jazz café restaurant? Are they only available for diners with a table (which we have), or can standing guests also use them? Do they tend to get crowded? (I'm with a guest who's on medication and may need to use the bathroom frequently)
