Park Theatre is the brainchild of Artistic Director, Jez Bond, and Creative Director, Melli Marie, who – following a six year London-wide search for a building – discovered a vacant office block next to Finsbury Park station in 2010. Garnering support from the theatre community at large – including luminaries such as Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman, the press and, importantly, local residents – they set out to raise the necessary funds to convert the tired concrete building into a thriving new theatre and beacon for the community. At a cost of just £2.6 million, the building, designed by David Hughes Architects, opened in May 2013 to rave reviews from the critics.

What a fantastic theatre, just next to Finsbury Park Station, great food and drink, pizza and Prosecco deal for a tenner, and a great modern theatre space. Loos are a bit small, but otherwise can’t fault this venue. Friendly smiley staff too!

Our second play here in six months, we saw ‘Pressure’ written by and starring the excellent David Haig this time and were not at all disappointed. The venue is a tiny little theatre which allows a wonderful level of intimacy between players and audience. In...More

We booked tickets at the Park Theatre as we wanted to see David Hare in Pressure. The production and the cast were both really excellent, and well deserving of the applause. It was also great to see so many young people in the audience –...More

We are friends of the Park Theatre. We try to attend most of the shows in Park 200 and as many that we can manage in Park 90. We are almost always impressed by the shows we see. The staging and direction are sometimes unusual...More

We drove down from Essex to watch Vincent River on a recommendation. Easily parked in neighbouring road (after 6.30 pm only). The first floor bar is nice and quirky, very tasty pizza’s were freshly made and served quickly. Very friendly staff. The play Vincent River...More

I give it this review title because although it is a newish mainstream theatre, it feels very much like a fringe theatre. The whole atmosphere was lvely. Very cosy and intimate. Our seats were in the stalls, row A. Just 2 feet further forward, and...More

It was our first visit to this independent theatre which is conveniently close to Finsbury Park underground station. There are two theatre spaces inside and we saw White Fang. It was an interesting production, but the disappointing aspect was that we were unaware that seats...More
