This was an excellent walking tour. The guide was well spoken and i had no trouble hearing or understanding him even though there were a fair number of people on the tour. I had no idea that he had worked in the legal profession or...More

There are a variety of Dicken's walks. We took one without knowing what it was going to be. The guide was extremely well informed and as an actor, knew how to keep things interesting. The walk took us to the Inns of Court and the...More

Richard’s excursion was well organised, he’s very knowledgeable, pleasant and a considerate guide. The walk is for any person interested in history, not only Dickens ‘s fans. Highly recommend

We arranged for a Dickens-themed tour with Richard through the Dickens museum. We were travelling with 17 teenagers, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Richard was excellent with the group, keeping them entertained without speaking down to anyone. It was clear that he was...More

We picked up the tour at Trafalgar Square on Christmas Day. The tour guide was interesting and reasonably knowledgeable (and I think reading some notes, though he'd clearly given the tour before). London Walks was running a number of instances of this particular tour. On...More

Billed as the Dickens tour this actually takes you around the Inns of legal London. Beautiful and tranquil courtyards. Gorgeous gardens. Loads of Dickens sites too but well worth the £10 even if you're not a bibliophile.

What a fascinating hour and a half spent discovering Charles Dickens' old stamping ground. Richard Jones is so clued up, exuding excitement and loaded with facts and figures of times gone buy, enabling us to go back in time.

Seriously, this was such an interesting tour. Richard Jones really knows his stuff and took us to several fascinating locations (mostly with some sort of seating - great for the not-so-young and those with bad backs!). He's a mine of information on his subject, and...More

We spent Christmas day in London, when most everything is shut down. But not this tour! We arrived a bit late due to traffic...and there were hordes of tourists wanting to do the same thing. But the London Walks people were prepared. We got into...More
