I had done the London Eye previously so I was not sure if it was worth going the Shard. But once I had arrived at the top and saw the fantastic views I instantly changed my mind! It's much higher up than the London Eye...More

Had to visit such a landmark, not cheap, at least you get an alcoholic cocktail with the entry fee. Lovely views from the top on a clear summer's day.

Bought tickets online for half price, so it cost £16 each which was good value. We visited on a Saturday in January, arriving at the queue 10 minutes before our booked slot and timed it just right! There were two queues, neither of which were...More

I was lucky enough to be treated to dinner at the Shad and the view of London bought tears to my eyes. It was like being on the very pinacle of the city and stunning to see the changing colours of the sky and all...More

We visited at lunch time on a Monday. The venue wasn’t crowded. The airport style X-ray security check was relatively quick and easy. The views from all observation levels were truly superb. You’re welcome to stay as long as you like. For a novel experience...More

Just ok not very satisfying. Nice views but you pay a lot which detracts from the overall experience. At least it was not so crowded when we went. Worth booking online 5 days in advance to save 50% in January.

Whilst view across city was great the whole experience was disappointing to say least. The security staff in particular were very rude and aggressive in their approach to customer service. Not the best welcome for any tourist. This tainted whole visit. Time slots mean nothing...More

I don't normally do heights comfortably but this was one of the better experiences. Fortunately the weather was bright and the views from floor 69 were stunning. Floor 72 - more open to the elements, was even better. We found it easy to navigate the...More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some

browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest

If you go to the Sky Garden, It is free, for everyone. The view is just as good, maybe not quite so high.
