Saw the Howard Hodgkin exhibition of his last paintings at the 20 Grosvenor Hill, Mayfair, London W1K 3QD, UK site. Gallery was the perfect setting for his works. Security staff was very pleasant and helpful.

This was a departure from the massive steel sculptures that he is famous for ..... large sheets of hand-made Japanese paper, painted with black crushed paintstick, achieving a really interesting rough surface texture - see my pics. The gallery description of the work states that...More

It is a small exhibition and only if you are a Picasso fan! It is quite dark as you enter and the staff gives you the feeling that you are totally unwanted. Just ignore and enjoy the exhibition.

Walking around the streets in the immediate vicinity of Gagosian one might be forgiven in thinking that the centre of the commercial London art scene has definitely shifted from Cork Street to North Mayfair. Gagosian has galleries either side of Grosvenor Hill, the one in...More

I loved the extensive Picasso exhibition on thr Minataur and Bullfighting. The gallery is a bit difficult to find and a little unfriendly on reception. The gallery space is superb though and well worth the effort.

This amazing show is ending soon, so go soon. A huge sculptural installation as usual by Richard Serra, who doesn't do small. The massive Rotate pieces weigh in as solid mild steel at 75 tonnes - about the same as a dozen London buses! Awesome

I visited the Grosvenor Hill gallery, rather than the Britannia Street one, for an exhibition of Michael Andrews paintings. The best of them - such as the monumental depictions of Ayers Rock and his final work of the Thames Estuary - are masterful. The airy...More

Went at the end of the day, a while before 6 pm (closing time). The lights were already out and staff were leaving the building, but we begged, since we were there from So, Calif. to see the exhibit. Armed with cell phone flashlights, we...More

Beautiful installations, but not family friendly. Very rude attendant which made us feel unwelcome. If they do not want children they should explicitly say so, rather than give dirty looks to mums. Think we shall stick to the rest of London's art scene which have...More

Welcoming, minimalistic space where one can immerse with the installations and connect with them. Thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition and the guests. Would definitely visit again.

I believe so. I attended a reception on opening the current exhibition but perhaps you can enquire with the gallery directly.
