We went this Saturday just gone on arrival we were seated next to the gents toilet. We were really looking forward to the visit and especially looking forward to trying the beef wellington. After ordering drinks we decided to ask if there was a different table we could move to. The guy we asked looked extremely busy and advised us no this table was the only option, no apology no explanation. Since we were in London for a special occasion also we were on a tight schedule we decided to stay. Food was nice but felt totally let down by the service. Would we return. No. Couldn't chance being sat next to the toilet again. People walking past constantly, at one point a member of staff walked in to spray air freshener which of course ended up coming out into our seating area just as I was tucking into the beef wellington. Not nice. I feel had we been sat in the main bar our experience would have been totally different. I don't often write bad reviews if my experience is poor I prefer to mention it at the time, on this occasion unfortunately my concerns were not heard. Very disappointing. There were three tables in a small room at the back of the bar by the toilet please if* you are booking a table I would recommend checking where you will be seated as once you are in situ the staff will not be accomadting to move you!…

The Grenadier was kind of tough to locate in a back street of a neighborhood. We decided to try Beef Wellington for the first time. I enjoyed it, but my wife didn't. The mushroom toast appetizer we had was excellent, and so was the toffee bread pudding.

Well not been back for a long time (prior to Covid) thought I would visit under new restrictions. Well I will say that the restrictions in place do cover everything, entrance at the door to sanitizer and check in then escorted to your table. Well not like the old days but it’s the new way and good they are ensuring safety for all. I was greeted by a gentleman called Paul, very polite and ensured that Tracing was in place. I then went to bar this bit felt normal , the staff very polite I requested a beer, I was then shown to a table of my choice and relaxed. Tony the manager then ensured that our visit was welcoming and ensured our experience was good. We had the bar snacks...wow the sausage rolls , told made by the chef ... these were the best I have ever had ( now 50yrs) Full of meat and fresh. Personally through these times my visit to other pubs may have felt more comfortable only because of what we are used to, but Covid with new laws the Grenadier are acting responsibly and still keeping that friendly, homely feel. 5 stars from me…

Took some friends here as, although a little out of our way, they'd never been and I knew it to be a great little pub with bags of character. Unfortunately, when I went to get some drinks, I was met by a curmudgeonly chap fully decked out in a long white coat and face shield visor. It was like I was entering the set of Chernobyl. In as few words as possible, he pointed to an A4 sheet of instructions, the one with the code that requires scanning with your phone or sending a text somewhere. I asked about the text when the scan didn't produce anything on my camera, he had no idea. It worked on one of my friend's phone. Drinks were fine, barman was okay, one ale on tap, reasonably priced for Belgravia. There were 2 tables, 6 at one so they'd taken all but one chair from the other table. When my friend lifted the table to move it to the bench seat just outside the entrance so we could all sit down, out came our man to tell him off. So we left the table with the one chair for a single person to arrive and sit at! Noticed one of the 6, who'd been there a while, try to go in and use the facilities, he was stopped and told to use the gel first? Presumably he will then wash his hands and reapply gel. Because of COVID and it's detrimental effect on pub owners, I won't go less than 3 circles but it deserved a 2.…

Miserable service, miserable facilities, poor bar man didn’t even ask if I wanted ice or not, so loses the glass with ice, or de he ask if I wanted bottled lemonade or tap, so he filled the glass right to the top which completely left the drink tasteless and expensive with no where to sit or offer to help, WONT be back! Complete Disappointment !!!!…
