Most of this iconic building was built in the mid-19th century following a devastating fire in 1834. Westminster Hall survived the fire and dates from 1097. Visitors can book tours through the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and are welcome to watch debates and committees when the Houses are sitting..

If you get an opportunity do go into this historic site. The architecture is beautiful and is is amazing just how small the seats are for the politicians in both House of Commons and Lords.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a meeting at the House as it’s known and it’s a fascinating building of lots of corridors and small rooms, the many chambers are steeped in history with statues of famous people adorning walk ways and corridors....More

I was lucky enough to attend a business function here. The sense of history and power is beguiling. Never mind the fact that it is falling down this is the true centre of the United Kingdom

Great place to visit even if you have no interest in how the British system of government works. The architecture, statuary, stained glass etc are enough to enthrall anyone. We did the audio tour so we could proceed at our own pace and were not...More

Drove past on hop-on hop-off bus. Nice view of the houses of parliament. Did not go inside but looked beautiful from the outside. Close to Westminster abbey

I would recommend a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament. Our guide was very informative and I particularly liked his anecdotes. It was advertised a 2 hours but was more like 2 1/2 hours. Yes, Big Ben was covered in plastic but this didn't...More

I attended for an official afternoon tea which didn't quite nclude a tour which would have been far more interesting. Amazing building and history but needs official guidance to truly appreciate. Expect long queues and extra tight security but worth it if you have the...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are

I would say No compared with other tourist sightseeing. It is good to contact your MP and see if they can offer you a guided tour.

You cannot buy a voucher, I'm afraid. The only way our bookings team could work this would be for you to buy a ticket for a specific date and time, and your relative could then phone up and amend the date and time. Please... More
