The house and gardens are a real hidden gem, only a 100 metres from the M4. A great palladium house with wonderful gardens by Kent. There are some lovely walks through the gardens where you will see interesting wildlife, grey herons etc. The greenhouse is...More

On the hottest April day since 1949, today Chiswick House looked at its Italian best. The introductory film was very informative and set the scene very well regarding the owners of Chiswick and the Grand Tour. There's not a lot inside the Villa - it's...More

Today's visit was purely to see what the park offers in Spring, so I skipped the house. It's nicely landscaped, well signposted with good paths. The conservatory was displaying 32 types of camellia although they are almost at the end of their season. Daffodils too...More

The house and gardens are very pleasant but, if you get the chance, go when the camelias are out. It holds the national collection and the only better one is in China. The variety is stunning and some are the only plants in existence. Very...More

Chiswick House is closed until April, and not much is flowering in mid-March, but the gardens are nevertheless a calm, pleasant place to stroll and get a break from the noise and the bustle of London. They are expertly laid out, with attractive vistas, varying...More

The house itself is small - some rooms are interesting but it's slightly disappointing. The gardens are very good indeed. The tea room is excellent. Better things to see across London

Yes I think so - the paths are wide and where it is uneven it is because they have covered cables up which I imagine the mobility scooter will cope with Just make sure foot wear is mud proof - enjoy
