We couldn't believe that this Museum was free but it was well worth the visit. Really interesting displays and loads to see. There is a small cafe for refreshments and a great second hand bookshop.

Glimpses of yesteryear for Free don't come very often; so take advantage and visit. The site is quite large and has a series of displays (some a bit tired and dusty) showing different aspects of home, business, social and shopping life as well as a...More

This is a good free day if the budget is tight. Plenty of nostalgic memories to be had for the older generation and lots of history tales for the younger generation

Walked from our city centre hotel. The museum is located in an old Army barracks with plenty of variety in the displays. A good place to come to get an appreciation of what life was like in the 1800's and 1900's. of note: The Tank,...More

Took the tribe to the FREE! Museum of Lincolnshire life. Free, yes it's all free, except the food of course. The food is cheap though, and you get a good big mug of delicious coffee. You will need plenty of caffine to keep up with...More

I've been meaning to go here for a year. It's free entry. It's compact but bursting with information, some really well set up dioramas, the displays are choc full of detail and real effort has been put into each piece, from the kids room (pass...More

We went to this museum when we had a few hours to spare. First, the negatives. Some of the exhibits appeared a little tired and the building itself was in need of a facelift. However, considering that it was free maybe we were a bit...More
