This is an excellent old traditional pub with good choice of beers and selective food menu. The owners and bar staffs were very welcoming. The pub is located close to the Infirmary and walking distance from Leicester City and Tigers stadiums.. On match day no hot food but cold food is available. I would recommend this pub if in the vicinity. Check opening times if visiting Saturday or Sunday.

After living in Leicester for over twenty years? Shown this pub by a friend as our destination after a moderately long walk to get there . Utterly brilliant, all that a pub should be. Cheap but great pub grub, good beers and a yet to be tested range of malts about which John the landlord is very knowledgable.

This is a great pub for a drink/food located as it is adjacent to the Infirmary and short walking distance to both the Tigers and City. There is a good selection of real ales. On match days there are no cooked meals but there is plenty of cold food.

Happened to pass by on my way to a hospital appointment-can’t believe I haven’t been before! Clean, friendly, great choice of food and great value-with a small courtyard to sit in too! Excellent!
