A great time to visit, not only are the trees changing colour but the waterfall is spectacular with all the rain we've been having.

We visited Aira Force while visiting the Lake District in the October holidays. Despite being cooler weather, we arrived around lunchtime and the car park was almost full. There are lots of woodland walks around this area, but most people seem to come to see...More

Visited Aira Force on first day of arriving at the Patterdale Hotel. Lovely walk up there and fairly easy climb, very pretty and rather ethereal atmosphere somewhat like Rivendell in Lord of the Rings

Lovely walk up to the waterfall and well worth the climb. Beautiful scenery all around. Shame the carparking is so expensive. Luckily we are NT members!

A true example for the power of nature. Weather was really bad, but it was really worth it. A must if you are in the lake district

A very enjoyable walk, although people are complaining about signage, it really isn't that difficult - and walking the various paths and finding different areas makes the walk even more enjoyable in my opinion. Parking is £5 for 2 hours, which admittedly is expensive. But...More

I think it’s safe as long as they don’t walk near edges of the banks. Holding hands they would be fine.

Yes. Was busy when I was there and there are narrow paths so dogs are best kept on a lead. Didn’t take mine as she likes to be off.
