Well worth a visit despite very narrow roads. A fantastic view and continue along the narrow track to be rewarded with the quaint little village of Watendlath.

Keswick is beautiful, but I think I missed the surprise of Surprise View haha! The walk down to it is lovely, just along the lake. Would highly recommend.

Stunning view, SO worth it. We took the car up to the public car back beside the bridge as we have 2 young kids then we walked half a mile up to the view. Walk was fine and very manageable. Def worth it! Take change...More

You turn the corner and the trees disappear to reveal a beautiful view over Derwent Water to Bassenthwaite and Solway Firth when it's clear. This with Ashness Bridge and Wathendahl further up this no through road make this a must do trip.

This outlook gives a fantastic, expansive view over lake and mountains. I'm certain that views like this are two a penny if you are a hardened fell-walker, unphased by the prospect of scrambling up the craggy peaks but perhaps the main thing that sets this...More

Well worth a visit to get a stunning view of Derwentwater. There's a steep, narrow road leading up to it, and you can either drive, walk or cycle. Whichever way you choose, the view is worth it.

The views at surprise view are beautiful. The only thing that spoils it is the amount of cars on the walk up! There are 2 car parks on the way up - one closer to Ashness Bridge and the other a bit further up -...More
