The Hull Maritime Museum is a prominent building in the centre of the city. Free to enter (donations welcomed) there are several floors of maritime artefacts to explore. Well worth a visit whether you are interested in this topic, or not.

Lots of interesting artefacts and individual displays about different part of Hull's maritime history. Friendly and helpful staff. The hard life of fishermen, life at sea during war time, curios like the 'possibly fake' mermaid.
