It's a few years since we left the University of Hertfordshire but, when we were working there, we visited the Observatory on more than one occasion. It was interesting for those who wouldn't normally have seen the moon and stars at such close quarters.

visited this venue out of interest to see the telescope and view the exhibits the layout is easy to access and parking is good although a walk away from the telescopes,. There is a nice teashop for drinks and snacks ,cakes and scones

A rare opportunity to listen to experts and look through amazing telescopes. A bit chilly and a tiny bit disorganised but in an endearingly academic way !

Spent a wonderfully informative evening here. Sadly it was cloudy so we couldn't see much with the telescopes. Only the previously gained images. But they were bought to life by the fabulous staff. The highlight was a visit to the planetarium and a guided tour...More

3 adults and one 10 year old came to the open evening on March 3rd... My second time here and just as good! Last time I came it was too windy so no domes were open but they were this time! Really informative the speakers...More

We came here last year for an open evening and then joined " friends of bayford" . In April we came here with some 50 other people to a BAT night . It was just amazing and well worth a visit as we learned so...More
