I turned up on a day when the house wasnt supposed to be open according to the internet so felt pleased that I could explore both for 8 pounds. The house exterior is beautiful, the interior has lacked love for many years. There are some...More

Last minute visit and what a fabulous surprise - an absolutely stunning property. Others have commented on the impressive furniture and interiors, my favourite was the wooden bed canopy engraved underneath with a beautiful sun flower - must have been a fab sight to wake...More

This is the kind of garden that stands more than one visit a year. Probably at its best in June, visits later in the year are also very rewarding. Great plants - probably why they have the rare plants fare here too. Highly recommended. Private...More

The garden and grounds are a joke. Total insult to the arts and crafts movement the place was built on

Wonderful from every aspect. The entire building and grounds are a delight, and the place is full of hand crafted wooden furniture by the people who put Gloucestershire on the map. I took many photographs of the earthenware pots stacked in the gardeners' area round...More

There is no doubt that this is a beautiful place to visit. My husband and I spent a very happy hour or so wandering around the fairly small but stunning grounds of Rodmarton Manor. The garden rooms keep one curious and delighted wandering from one...More

Thank you for commenting - we are very glad to hear you enjoyed the house and garden. The tap water is not from the mains as it comes straight from our own bore hole, but we will happily consider offering bottled water in future.

This house must be the 'purest' example of the philosophy of the Arts and Crafts movement in the country. It is not a 'polished' National Trust style presentation but the underlying quality of the house, garden, and furniture is outstanding. Look closely at the furniture...More
