The Corinium Museum is located at the heart of Cirencester the 'Capital of the Cotswolds'. Its principal collection consists of the highly significant finds from the Roman town of Corinium. However the museum today is much more than that, taking the visitor on a journey through time and charting the development of the Cotswolds from its prehistoric landscape to the modern day. The light and modern galleries offer the visitor an exceptional interactive experience. The museum is renowned for its learning provision, with an education centre and temporary exhibition space that ensure a vibrant, changing programme of events and activities for everyone to enjoy.

We have been to a great many museums with Roman collections in Great Britain, but I and my family thought this was, so far, the best of all. It is clearly evident what an important place Corinium was in Roman Britain by the staggering quantity,...More

This museum really lets you know how much roman remains are here. Wonderful mosaics and lots of building artefacts. Kids loved the teddy trail too.

Some very interesting artefacts in this museum, especially those of the Iceni. Great place for children and adults, couples or family's to while away an educational hour.

The perfect museum for visitors with children. Not too big to get bored and plenty of hands on experience. Covers Roman and Saxon periods very well. Staff friendly and helpful.
