This fascinating small museum reflects the social and historical life of Sherborne, a market town in the heart of the Dorset countryside. Attractions include a unique medieval wall-painting, a touch-screen version of the glorious Sherborne Missal, botanical watercolours by pioneering Edwardian artist Diana Wilson, a vast photographic archive, a famous dolls' house, silk displays and much more. Stumbled across this museum whilst browsing around Sherborne and glad we did. Had a warm welcome on entering by the volunteer. Free entry but made a donation. Interesting artefacts

Was visiting Sherborne on a railway trip and had a couple of hours to waste saw the museum advertised as we got off train .What a pleasure it was to visit friendly staff who advised us it was free to visit but donations were welcome...More

A tucked away little Museum of Sherborne’s history not too far from the Abbey. Were some interesting little bits and pieces I would have to say if you like a museum with lots to see this might not be in your interest its little some...More

A lovely little local museum, staffed by volunteers who are most enthusiastic and welcoming. Free entry but donations welcome.
