Just as at Hardy's cottage, volunteers are what made this visit so enjoyable and informative. We even had a Hardy poem read to us - it was delightful!

Imaginative Easter egg hunt for the children, lovely gardens, really helpful guides and really nice idea for children to be able to plant a pea in the potting shed.

The NT have recreated Hardy's house as a living home. Full of information, his books and stories. The volunteers are very engaging and full of interesting tales - Shirley was brilliant and Byron was most entertaining. A wonderful, relaxed place to visit and learn.
