Beautiful 26 acre Sculpture Park & Gardens, with Gallery cafe. Due to deep water NO CHILDREN UNDER 14 years of age and NO DOGS are allowed. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, hut bookings are from 10am to 4.45pm. Entry is £10 per person. The Gallery Cafe is now open serving tea, coffee, light meals, delicious cakes, cream tea's, ice creams etc., visitors can choose to eat inside, outside (at the newly created seating area), or take it out into the Sculpture Park using one of the picnic baskets provided, complete with rug. Visitors are able to enjoy the Gallery & Gallery Cafe without entry to the Sculpture Park. Described as one of the most beautiful & unique sculpture parks in the United Kingdom, Sculpture by the Lakes marries the soft beauty of nature's wild river landscape with the more formal presentation of monumental outdoor sculpture. It is that combination of art and landscape that inspires Sculpture by the Lakes.

We had amazing weather for our trip. The sculptures were stunning and set in a beautiful landscape. So peaceful and relaxing. I am telling all my friends to visit. Also had a lovely pea and courgette salad. Will definitely be returning here.

What a find! We spent several hours wondering around enjoying the sculptures but mostly enjoying the peace and tranquillity. Left wondering at the work that went into creating the gardens and the sculptures displayed. A really relaxing and unforgettable experience.

What a very interesting, calm experience. Appreciating the sculptures was enhanced by the fabulous grounds, knowledgeable lady from the office, and multiple areas to sit and just look. We split our walk in to 2, divided by coffee and cake, which we took al fresco....More

The setting and the quality of the gardens would be hard to beat. The river and lakes make an unusual background for the excellent sculptures. We had a lovely morning there and will return.

Tranquil, relaxing and inspiring. A nice walk which can’t be taken at pace as there is so much to see. The kitchen garden area is also fantastic to walk round too. Delicious food and lovely people too.

We visited on a rather cloudy day but the weather didn't detract from the peace and beauty of this place. The landscaping and planting complimented the many sculptures and at the time of our wander (May) the many wild flowers were a sight to behold....More

We visited these lakes at Pallington near Dorchester on a sunny but slightly chilly day, it’s well signed and set down a narrow country lane. Around 40 years ago gravel was extracted and so the lakes were formed, close to the river Frome. Interesting planting...More

Dear Clare, I am afraid we do not allow dogs to visit Sculpture by the Lakes as the owners have a number of their own dogs, including three rescues who would be upset by visiting dogs.
