The promenade could do with cleaning up, the state of the disabled toilets were absolutely filthy and disgusting. My wife said the normal toilets were the same. Would not recommend this seaside resort to anyone. Needs cleaning up.

Southbourne is a quieter area than Bournemouth. However the beaches are golden sands. in the summer the sea is hot. There is a pier at Boscombe which is better than most on the south coast. Parking is free and easy to find. There are cafes,...More

Beautiful sandy beach, very quiet but with full facilities and bistro. Steep slope to access so may not suit everyone.

A beautiful sandy beach with lovely promenade where you can cycle, skate board , roller skate or just stroll with the dogs. Lovely places to eat, have a drink and watch the world go by. Very relaxing

Ok, it's not as nice as Bournemoputh or Sandbanks, but it;s not as busy either. The parking is reasonable, but there is a steep slope down to the beach. You have been warned if you travel on wheels. Once down there, there is a nice...More

Extremely - my little dog is taken there regularly to take the waters. Normal dog etiquette required.
