Pleased to see some life back in the old place. Suffered from the novelty of the RWY and being marooned on double yellow lines but is now benefitting from the swing amongst locals and some trippers towards the independent pubs and eating places outside the...More

Saw this pub on the way to lunch and decided to pop in in the way back. Was pretty empty but great staff and nice friendly atmosphere. Would be great in the summer and the locals are lucky to have a proper local. Good selection...More

Having just recently bought a house across the road I was delighted to find there was still a proper pub in the area. The couple who run it are great and sells a good pint of Tribute. Beats the Royal William Yard in terms of...More

Interesting to discover when we came in this week that the VOT has changed hands again. Some signs of trying to engage a bit more with the punters and neighbourhood. Although near parking remains a problem the greatest threat to this survival of this pleasant...More

I quite like this little pub but can never tell whether the feel will be uplifting and fun or whether it will be downbeat and glum. It has a bit of regular local trade, also picks up people to and from the RWY where there...More

love this pub, friendly warm fun atmosphere. Clean and welcoming. The proprietors make you more than welcome and are happy to have a friendly chat with any new comers like myself.

Picking up. Easy going friendly mix of locals and some coming to and from RWY. Nice feel but no sign of food.

I like this pub and it's position. Bit of a pity theroad has become busier, being the only way out of RWY. I used to live across the road. Low key but affable locals pub then. Now seems to be trying to pull spin off...More

I visited this pub for the first time on a Friday night looking for something different. I was a bit disappointed as friend had recommended this pub but I didn't find it anything special. The staff was fine but the pub didn't seem to have...More

A bit of recent effort has brought this pub back to life. Last week we called in for a drink while gathering before a meal at the new fish restaurant up and around the corner. The VOT has been smartened up but retains a relaxed...More
