Hi Neil Thanks for the lovely review . Itโ€™s always being a cash only pub as tradition stands but we will have to get with the times at some stage lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ we hope to see you back soon ๐Ÿบ

Very welcoming early evening on a week day, coal fire going and cosy. Traditional sort of pub with a good drinks range and food too. Highly recommended, Barbican is a must see area too!

Just had a couple of drinks with some old work mates in this pub for the first time. What a great atmosphere. The Irish lady who was running the show was delightful. A genuinely friendly and welcoming lady that gave the place a real warmth....More

Had Royal Navy reunion 40 years after decommissioning, many people had not seen each other for over 40 years and the Dolphin was a fantastic place to meet again, thanks Darren for a fantastic night.

A very old rustic small pub, a good selection of ales, snacks on the bar. A place that local people go to. Very friendly bar staff.

What a fantastic pub! My husband and I call here infrequently and are always impressed by the friendly service and wonderful โ€˜proper pubโ€™ atmosphere. Brilliant barman with amazing knowledge of different gins.

They don't, there's just the bar, it's not a private function kind of place, but there are dozens of Plymouth pubs and clubs that will provide a free function room provided you drink their booze.

It seems they have acquired the entire estate of Punch Taverns (wont let me post the link). They stress they're keen to work with and keep the ethos of those pubs they take over. Time will tell.
