Well maintained park with lovely borders, rose gardens, and the war memorial for Dartmouth. Conveniently close to both the riverfront , also some ice cream and excellent bakeries. Good peaceful place to wander around, and enjoy.

Small little park
Aug 2020
This was a small little park we walked though in the centre of town. It wasn't too busy as it seemed the majority of people were just walking on by. If you have a dog, it's great as they can have a little run around, but like i said. It's pretty small.

A lovely retreat
Sep 2020
A great place to visit especially when the town is busy and the weather is fine. We struggled to find a table to have lunch in a café so we had a picnic here instead. There is a handy Marks and Spencer food store very near too.
The park has plenty of places to sit, a café too, if you want it. There was also some welcome entertainment from some decent buskers. It being a lovely day there were also some craft stalls set up.
The gardens are worth a walk around since they are very mature and well maintained. The toilets are handy too!

Pleasant little park adjacent to the river Dart/quays

Had a family picnic here before going on a river cruise. Busker playing, warm sunshine, lovely landscaping and a nearby coffee stall. What's not to like.

A quiet spot to relax in when the sun shines.

Every May the gardens come alive as one of the venues for the annual music festival. We enjoyed several pleasant walks through the gardens this February. Interesting throughout the seasons.

Lovely peaceful gardens
Jun 2019 • Family
These gardens are really well tended and ideal for either walking through, just sitting and admiring, or enjoying a picnic.
There are a number of seats to rest and relax on and the iron entrance gate is really imposing.
This is a really peaceful area and well worth a visit.
