This site (abbey + museum) is fairly small but it was only £8 for my daughter and I, and we found enough to interest us for almost three hours, though 30 mins of that was at a special childrens event in the barn. I found...More

The site has the Abbey and Farmland Museum. The Abbey is run by English Heritage; the Farmland Museum is a private affair. We went to the Abbey - which roots date back to Benedictine monks in the 1150's. It was then taken over by the...More

Went with daughter and her 3 under 5s. Having been when she was much younger I was thinking it would be a short visit, it took 4+ hours. The abbey was interesting but it took us a long time to get there from the entrance...More

We had family visiting so decided to visit Denny’s as we’d read positive reviews. Although a lovely, hot weekend day we were a little surprised to be the only visitors there for most of our time. There are plenty points of interest, the history of...More

Was passing through so decided to visit as we are members of English Heritage otherwise wouldn't have bothered. You still pay extra for the farm museum so gave it a miss. Not really worth going to. If into farms the museum part looked more interesting...More

Went here today with kids. Not much to see unfortunately. The kids were bored and we managed to finish the whole abbey and the house in half an hour. However, we took good pictures of the place as it is interesting due to its history.

Sorry you didn't think much was here! The majority of visitors stay for hours and find lots to do. Out of interest what did you think should have been here but wasn't?

The only place included unfortunately on the English Heritage membership was the Abbey. We have visited the Museum before and even though it's discounted entrance, once you have been once then you don't need to go again. I might of considered it, if children where...More
