Great place to chill out after a trip to Broadmead, get a sandwich and enjoy the views over the river. Yes there are street drinkers but no worse than elsewhere, but I would not recommend this area after dark for that reason.

Not often you can praise Bristol City Council but at least this is one piece of architecture they have not sent the demolition men into destroy - so a big thankyou for that. Even spotted my grand fathers' name among those remembered as the fallen...More

there isn't much to do here but you can surely soak the sun when it's shining. It's mostly used to cross over to the city center.

What a great find. Beautiful park. Sun shining. People everywhere, BBQs here and there and lovely walk along the river. The old church in the middle is just brilliant. At night can be a little off-putting with people drinking but nothing to suggest wasn't safe

The location and upkeep of this park is incredible though the amount of drug users, and alcholics take away from this amazing place. I don't recommend this place during evenings even though its well lit and right in the middle of the city.

We felr it was well worth passing by this area as part of our Sacred Bristol walking tour as it was once home to the Mediaeval city centre.

This park runs along the water edge alongside the modern shopping district in Bristol. When was passed through it was a little bleak as it is still early in the year.

Castle Park is well positioned in the city centre, with the floating harbour along part of its southern boundary. The ruin of St Peter's church is an asset that adds real interest and is a fitting memorial to those killed in the Blitz during WW2....More

If you are walking into town and towards the waterfront and harbour side then recommend taking a stroll through e park. It has designated cycle and walking paths, well lit, plenty of seating and nice views over the water.

During the day, this is a pleasant park to stroll through. The ruined church is left as a memorial to those who died in the Blitz. During the summer lots of office workers spend their lunch time in the park. Do be aware that this...More
