I was lucky to find this fantastic Church open as it is looked after by volunteers who give their time freely - when they are able. Many thanks to Bear for showing me around and particularly into the Crypt, which is also available to hire...More

I went for the first time last night and was amazed at what I saw. I've lived here most of my life and never visited before - shame on me! It's a very interesting and historical building. Please pay a visit

It's a mediaeval church, forming part of the ancient city walls of Bristol. The pavement outside would once have been the dockside - the river now flows underground to make it easier for the cars and buses. It isn't usually open, but one day I...More

Situated between Broadmead and the Centre, and just a short walk from both, this old church is no longer used for regular services but is lovingly cared for by some very friendly and informative volunteers. The pulpit entrance part-way up a wall is particularly unusual,...More

I visited this very unusual church and the chapel beneath it . Well worth a visit the chapel at street level is very beautiful .The volunteer guides were most helpful and knowledgeable but the church cries out for a good guidebook

It seems unbelievable that this tiny low ceiling-ed space should have been a church. It is built into the city walls, so easy to miss in the old city. But worth a visit.
