Visited in July and we walked through the main pathway loop through to the end of the spit and back to the parking area. It is an easy walk and you could take a side trip down to the water, but be careful as the...More

Easy in and out from the boat launch make this spot a no brainer when you’re deciding where to kayak first as a novice on Quadra Island. The protected bay makes for a great practice before moving on to more challenging weather conditions/locations. Family friendly...More

Well shaded picnic area with a large field for sports and kids to play. Bikes are allowed half way then walking only. Can’t recommend enough. The spit is calm and almost lake like. Ocean side offers amazing views of Cortez. We spent hours!

The scenery here is striking. In particular the entire beaches lined with drift wood. There are lots of photo opportunities, or if you prefer, you can just relax in the peaceful surroundings.

We did the hike twice since it is so great. It would be wonderful to bike it. A group of 3 busloads of school kids was there on our second visit and seemed to be enjoying it .

Anyone of any age can enjoy this lovely peninsula, with forest (including some old growth) and rocky beaches on both sides. A campground with sites for both tents and RVs at the entrance gives way to an easy, flat hike around the point that is...More
