Guillemots, black diving birds with white wings, can dive 200'. Only place I've ever seen them, off this ferry. Smooth ride even in choppy seas. Also, on Deer Island, which hosts salmon farms, we learned not to eat farm-raised salmon. those who raise it don't:...More

They should have more frequent departures. We had to wait an hour one time. Our last day the boat was broke down and this made our trip home 2 hours longer.

Enjoyed the calm ocean ferry hops.Surprised that the ferries are so flat and yet can take quite a few vehicles aboard. The signage and driveway were not as clearly marked but you just play follow the leader to board.

Very well run ferry trip from mainland to Deer Island, and completely free. The ferry runs every half hour and you do not want to waste time worrying about when it will take off. As soon as the last car or truck is on this...More

Like few ferry trips you'll ever take -- the trip from Campobello Island to Deer Island is so interesting, especially the boat itself. And in the middle of the crossing, the whirlpool and the seals!

I am a fearful deep water person and never go on cruises. But this crossing on the Ferry was outstanding and now I might even consider venturing further. The Ferry is very well stabilized so that I never felt any queasiness, It is immaculately clean...More

Very efficient 20 minute ride from the mainland to deer island. It's free and it can be very busy on the weekends.

The trip from Deer Island to Campobello was approx 20 min on a open barge. The price for 4 adults & car was $30 which seemed a bit steep especially since many area ferries are free. Unfortunately there was no view due to fog but...More

We took the ferry from Campobello Island to Deer island. The ferry was on schedule and efficient. The $24 Canadian Fare was reduced to $20 US which was nice. The scenery along the way is beautiful.

The island is only 9 miles long, so it will take you only 20 min to get from one end to the other to catch the Campobello Ferry. Take some extra time and drive around Deer Island, it is such a pretty place.
