After reading that the hike to the columns was no longer available (thanks Bruiser2015!) I contacted the local Keremeos newspaper on Aug 28 and they confirmed that the root is closed to the public.

You are not at all welcome there any more. The owners of the property have made it inaccessible to hikers.

There is really no trail to follow with marked signage. Which makes a little confusing because the columns are not very visible from the primitive roads. I would suggest walking from the bottom paved parking to the top. If you drive find a good place...More

Columns are quite unique when you reach the bottom and look up but, if you are up for a hike to go around and climb on top of the columns, you will be richly rewarded with a beautiful view of the entire valley.
