These monks use OLD ingredients in their baking and are unethical and anti-christians and should be thrown out of Keweenaw County!

This bakery has lots of parking if you have an RV. The shop is tiny, can only fit 5-6 people comfortably. Lots of breads and jam. Neat to see the monks behind the counter and they are friendly.

We always stop here when we make our yearly trip to the Keweenaw. We recommend the brownies, muffins, caramels, almond cookies (they're excellent) and especially the thimbleberry jam. Prices seem appropriate to the quality of the product. We have been known to order the thimbleberry...More

We stopped to get a map of the trails at the Monastery, but did not get a chance to go. So of course, you have to buy something out of guilt. The coffee machine was broken, so no coffee. The little individually wrapped chocolates are...More

There are several places in the Keweenaw that offer jams and jellies, baked goods, etc. But the "made by monks" aspect really makes it stand out. And they really know their stuff! With a great variety of flavors for the jams, jellies, conserve and marmalade....More

Would never have expected to see a bakery and jam shop run by monks. Huge selection of jams and jellies, including some made from wild berries. Fruit cakes, cookies, brownies and more.

My wife and I stopped off here while visiting the Keweenaw for our 25 wedding anniversary. This place has jams and jellies that I have never heard of. We purchased some of the "pincherry", "thimbleberry" and "lingonberry" jam, and a slice of "Abbey Cake". The...More

This place was recommended as an area icon. It is the best place on the Keweenaw Peninsula! Warning!! Have a handful of money and be prepared to make rapid decisions. The customers come and go quickly and there is one monk working. If you are...More

After reading about this place on Trip Advisor we decided to stop. The monks were very friendly and the little shop was full of good jam, baked goods, candy, etc. Like other reviewers have said, the prices are high, but that doesn't seem to stop...More
