A bridge that connects the Swiss and the German part of Laufenburg.
I walked from the Station of Laufenburg, Swiss, stepped on the bridge, took a rest in the mid of the bridge (on a bench there), and went onto the land of Germany.
Where the two towns on either side of the Rhine connect one in Switzerland the other in Germany whilst Switzerland is not in the EU there is a relaxed nature to this ‘hard’ border. This area is certainly worth a stroll around.
The Hochrheinbrucke is interesting as it connects Laufenburg Germany, with Laufenburg Switzerland. The bridge straddles the Rhine which divides the two towns (you can thank Napoleon for that). Very picturesque and worth a walk between the two areas itself. Although Switzerland is not an EU...More
