We came last year and loved it. So came with more family this year. Not too strenuous with young children. Hard to push a stroller.

Close to town and an easy hike on a well established trail. Great vies from atop the Hoodoos of the Columbia river valley.

The trail starts out steep with out many views. About 30 minutes up there are great views of the river lake and mountains beyond. As for the hoodoos you are on top of them.

Was looking for a nice short hike, can’t see much of the hoodoos from the hike but lovely views of the valley

Walk was great for beginning hikers. Not much scenery. Expected to be more in front of the hoodoos rather than just on top.

As of 2017, there are new interpretive panels describing the wildlife and geology of the area. NCC also installed guard rails and directional signage for the trail due to off trail erosion and plant trampling of sensitive sites.

Fun easy hike - beautiful views - glad to see some fence barriers at the top this trip. It's rather sandy and can be slippery. Take water - stay hydrated for this short walk as you will do some moderate climbing uphill.

The trail to the top is fairly steep and makes a nice climb to view the valley. From the top one can see spectacular views of the Columbia Valley and surrounding areas.

Wow, what a fantastic place! I love the HooDoo's mostly for the photo ops. As I do have some mobility restrictions I wasn't able to get very far up the trail as it is very steep, but took advantage of getting as many photos as...More

Yes I think they would do ok on this but I recommend holding on to them at the top because there is no safety railing or nets to catch someone if they fall. Also note that we didn't really see any wildlife(birds,squirrels... More

Head south from Fairmont on HWY 93/95 about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Westside Road and watch for sign and parking lot on left
