Lots of parking. There is lots of paths to walk, fairly easy. There is a large dock that takes you out to where all the birds, ducks and geese are. I enjoy taking our grandchildren there to feed the ducks... they are toddlers and the...More

Really not a spectacular park. Not as refined as the closeby Deer lake park. Saw a turtle walk across the path as the best part of the visit to the park. The rest was kind of boring. Visit Deer Lake instead

Burnaby lake is a nice spot for a walk. It isn't challenging enough to be considered a real hike, but you can still get a fair bit of exercise out of it while enjoying the scenery.

My son took us on a visit after his graduation at SFU. This park is truly beautiful. Paths, lawns, blooming gardens, old buildings meticulously maintained. A lakeside boardwalk, stunning views and plenty of places to sit and chill or picnic.

No up and down hills. No big trees so you have to protect sun burn? I feel it is not worth to go there...

The Burnaby Lake Loop is 10km. You can't cut across the lake to shorten the walk so you'd have to turn back if you don't want to go for that long. There's lots to see along the route - rugby field, look out, short pier,...More
