Great trail network in Snowden Forest. Great technical climbing and descending. Lots of variety and very few long sustained leg burning climbs. Definitely lots of roots and exposed rock but nothing terribly extreme. Good moderate Blue and easy Black trails. Trails are reasonably well marked.

like a challenge--bike this location--hike--enjoy quiet rain forest hike--carry bear spray and be aware this is cougar country. Both two and four legged kind..

In my opinion simply the best xc mountain bike trail system I have ever been on, lots of rolling technical trails with very little road. Only lacks a long climb, but lots of short climbs. A few small lakes in area can provide water for fido in summer. Good to go in winter also, several good view points, try Escargot trail. Cell reception is spotty. Use "trailforks"app on your phone to find your way around.

We tried to ride the trails but they were beyond our comfort zone. We ended up riding on the road The trails have many rocks and roots which made the travel a challenge.

I'm a beginner at mountain biking and these trails are very extensive and more for the mid-level to advanced biker imo. Very nicely maintained and beautiful forest.

But the best part is the diversity of trails , levels of difficulty and being 'away from it all'. Walkers with dogs need to keep on the lookout for cyclists on some of the trails.

Single track and old road bed with railway grade, lots of trails from easy to extreme...Not too crowded and something for everyone. Walkers should keep their eyes and ears open

Wanting to stretch your legs or even your lungs ? Pick the type of terrain and enjoy hours of walking. One needs a map that can be purchased for a toonie or go online. The trails are superbly signed and graded according to difficulty.Even though one may read it is a mountain bike habitat, many locals walk the trails. Because it is technically out of the Municipality your dog can be off leash, just be aware of bikers and heel where needed. There are small lakes, marshes, abandoned beaver ponds , old railway grades, views ,gut buster type hills and all on nice definable trails.Pick your fancy.I emphasize a map on hand to avoid any issues. It is truly a lovely way to spend part of a day,,,,, and I am a local!
