We visited this museum which turned out much nicer then we expected. Its not very big so do take the time and read all of the signs they have inside so you'll at least learn something. We especially liked the history of the Chinese workers...More

Cross over the railway tracks and park up at this gem of a museum. It does not look big from the outside but looks can be and are deceptive. For 10 dollars per adult it is a find and be prepared to spend a couple...More

Impressive engine and carriages inside but the rolling stock outside was deteriorating in the weather. Good displays of the terrible history of the railroad builders thru harsh terrain. Nice clean toilets. The intriguing-looking miniature railway upstairs wasn't running unfortunately.

What a challenge to build a railway through the mountains. Keeping the rail history alive with interactive exhibits and informative displays. Easy to forget how huge the steam engines were and the courage of those who built and maintained the railroad.

The museum is small and you will only spend about an hour visiting. However, it is backed full of interesting exhibits about the role of the railway in uniting Canada. I liked the effort put into recognizing the contribution of immigrant workers - mainly Chinese...More

Was very impressed by this museum, I could have stayed in there for hours. Very easy to navigate and had a steam engine and passenger car that you could board! I’m not a train person typically but I couldn’t get enough!! Thank you!!

We recommend at least an hour but it can take up to 2 hours, or more, if you take in all the exhibits, ride the simulator, talk to an engineer, and watch the film in the theatre. You can also bring a picnic lunch and enjoy... More
