Paddling or boating between the islands of the Gulf Islands National Park is a must-do activity for any that loves the outdoors. Boat around as you explore quiet little islands.

If you want to unplug and reconnect with the real world there are few better places. Get off the grid for a while. Give your neurons a rest.

A visit to Vancouver Island is only complete if it includes the Gulf Island National Park, with its wonderful scenery and animal wildlife!

We took a ferry over to Sidney Skip and enjoyed several hours hiking. There is camping allowed there as well. Was quiet and nice...did not see much wildlife except birds...

Very nice campground with basic amenities. We were boondocking with a small trailer and our site was good and fairly private. Campground is smallish and the toilets are clean but they are below what one would expect from a Parks Canada facility; lots of flies and smelly... We were there for 2 nights and we didn't see a park warden the whole time we were there. Fortunately, it was very quiet at night except for a party that arrived with the last ferry around 10PM but were very good at not making noise. Lots of wasps around the campground - be careful. There is a trail that starts in the campground and is a nice walk, particularly at the end of the day.

The GINPR is a great combination of islands, beaches and primitive camping. The spit on Sidney Island is world class and the racoons on Princess Margaret Island are a hoot. Check them out on the ferry terminal side by the old apple orchard it's a sight and sound evening worth experiencing . . .
