If you are into Kayaking or boating, this is such an amazing area. The scenery is gorgeous, wildlife is abundant (we saw dolphins, seals, eagles).

Very nice campground with basic amenities. We were boondocking with a small trailer and our site was good and fairly private. Campground is smallish and the toilets are clean but they are below what one would expect from a Parks Canada facility; lots of flies...More

The GINPR is a great combination of islands, beaches and primitive camping. The spit on Sidney Island is world class and the racoons on Princess Margaret Island are a hoot. Check them out on the ferry terminal side by the old apple orchard it's a...More

The Saturday market is interesting but small at this time of year. Interesting flavored sea salts. A lot of jewelery, few handcrafts. Drove the whole island, lovely. The cheese farm is also of interest. Lots to try and taste.

We spent 3 days on North Pender Island, and explored both North Pender and South Pender by kayak and on land, including a hike up Mount Norman. The national park is an oddity, with a patchwork of lands scattered across several islands, so it’s hard...More

The Lochside trail is really well signed and maintained. We enjoy riding it from the Swartz Bay Ferry terminal, into Victoria. The trail is basically flat, and very easy to cycle. I would recommend it for cyclists who can handle a longer distance.
