We just got back from our Canadian trip. While looking for interesting sites, we decided to find this West Montrose Covered Bridge (Kissing Bridge). Since we are not familiar with Waterloo, we had some problems trying to find it. We did stop at couple of...More

Charm and character with a sense of deep history. Not to mention used in the movies as well. It's easy to find and is a wonderful spot for pictures. Go through the Bridge and see where it takes you.

The West Montrose covered bridge area is a very nice area to visit. The river and bridge provide a nice backdrop for pictures the main drawback to the area is the fact that much of the land around the bridge is privately owned and parking...More

It is the only covered bridge left in Ontario. I go there every chance I get. I take visitors from out of town through the bridge. It is known as the kissing bridge.

An actual working bridge that is maintained. It can be hard to find but the search is worthwhile. Look into it if you are in the area

For out-of-town visitors I will often arrange that we drive across this covered bridge. It is well maintained and it is situated in a scenic area of rural Ontario, easily accessible from anywhere within Waterloo Region. It is particularly picturesque early in the morning or...More

I took an American friend who was visiting to see this bridge, as she wanted to see a covered bridge. This bridge is located out in the country and is in really good condition. There is also a small park where you can park your...More

Historic bridge in a scenic setting. The bridge itself is quite long for a covered bridge and is in good condition. Plenty of photo opportunities so make sure you take your camera. There is a small picnic ground with parking, some signage describing the bridge...More
