We stopped at a small park beside the canal in Port Colborne. Within 5 min of arriving the first ship passed through and immediately after that a second ship. They are so close you really get to experience their size. A very enjoyable stop along the way.

We bike from our home in Welland down the Canal to Port Colborne and often across to Crystal Beach. The Canal ride is always great.

No matter which way you go on the trails you will find it calm and relaxing. If your looking for a place to swim the docks just off Lincoln St are great. Parking close to the water, and it is clean. I do recomend that small kids or weak swimmers wear a lifejacket as it does get deep fast. There is often events being held there as well. We go there often to swim with our dogs during the summer.…

The museum was fabulous and the tour guides were great. The day was lovely. It was fun to see how all of the area had been built up and is still in use today.

Its nice to still have a place to today’s lifestyle to park your car and take a walk and enjoy nature. Enjoy the canal and the activities it offers.
