The Kumbale for is one of the historical attractions in Kasargod.It is not popular as Bekal fort among the tourist.

I was surprised to see hardly any maintenance of this place. In all honesty there are hardly any people there, not worth going unless you are passing through the place anyway.

the maintenance is poor and pathetic. Only part remaining is watch tower which in not accessible. Very close to the national highway

The fort is right by NH 66 (17). It has been really neglected so much so that only a watch tower is prominent. A sign board exists right beside on the highway side but no clear entrance is available for the fort. Only good thing...More

The fort is close to the highway - which was a bit of a surprise. The fort is not maintained except for some boards. I recommend giving it a miss.

Kumbla Fort is one of oldest in the location. I liked the view from the temple. The National Highway crosses the fort connecting Mangalore and Kasergode.
