Trip advisor states it's in Azerbaijan but you can only access it from Armenia in the republic of Artsakh. Beautiful place, the umbrellas are great to stay under on a hot day, a must see. Will need a bit of walking on unstable ground, so...More

A short hike along the Janapar Trail reveals a beautiful natural waterfall with moss covered domes above a small cave. The hike from the parking area to the "umbrellas" is not very difficult, but be aware that there are two short cable/wooden board bridges. Someone...More

My choice was to make a stage of Janapar trail, from Karintak to Shushi. The trail is spectacular, goes inside Hanut Canyon, crosses the river more times with gorgeous bridges and passes for the wonderful Zontik Waterfalls (Umbrella as most of the people call it),...More

From Shushi drive through village Shosh. Then in 2-3 minutes you will see the sign Hounot Gorge. Turn right, park your car and take a hike. Unbelievable beauty!

Our driver had a hard time to find the trail entrance. If you want a peaceful hike probably don't go on the weekend . This is the favourite picnic place for Stepanakert families which bring down their stuff to BBQ including foot long kebab sticks....More
