This Apolinario Mabini Shrine is the first stop of Education Tour and this is great to start the morning . We had like an hour of reminiscing history and his life. Very good for lecturing the young generation about the heroism of this guy,
the visiuals, the paintings are all amazing too. Its super worth it and good that they have a tour like this in school to educate young and young at heart.

The exact spot where the hero's house once stood is unknown, but it's certainly within the compound of the present shrine. There are seven galleries to visit both on the ground and the second floors that help you journey through the life of Apolinario Mabini and some salient socio-political events of his days. The museum guide, a distant relative of the hero, provides you with lots of info. Outside you'll find a replica of the humble abode of the Mabini family, as well as the tomb of Apolinario. It's a very well organized place, with ample space for parking.

This museum features two floors of exhibits featuring the life and works of Apolinario Mabini. There is an ample parking space and grass covered grounds that is ideal for picnic. There is no entrance fee and the museum staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are souvenir items available for purchase at the lobby.

I visited this place over a year ago and was impressed by this little known museum. The collections, artifacts, paintings and others about Mabini are impressive and educational. I am a history buff so i appreciated it. In this modern times, we are beginning to forget these past heroes and their significant contributions to our country. It's good that we have a museum like this one. Admission is free and contribution is voluntary. I hope this museum will continue to be well maintained. We need something like this to understand and learn from our past.

Of all my history lessons there are only 3 heroes that have an impact to me that is Rizal, Bonifacio and the controversial Emilio F. Aguinaldo. After the skyrocket of Heneral Luna popularity, the once neglected overlooked hero, Apolinario Mabini, I started to have an interest on his contributions to the nation. I visited the PUP Mabini Museum but it is a bit lacking and small. The curator told me to try explore the Tanauan Shrine which is way much larger and more complete. I took the pain commuting to Tanauan which is 2 hours away from Manila. Upon arriving at the Shrine in Barangay Talaga, a Philippine flag welcomed me signalling the entrance to the complex. Outside the Shrine you can see a replica of Mabini's birthplace which is a simple nipa hut and his tomb as you enter the museum proper. The museum has 8 to 9 galleries. The first gallery impacted me much learning that Mabini is a frugal person which for me a sign of greatness and foresight in his future endeavors. The next galleries told a story of Mabini's masonic affiliation which played a role in the Philippine independence. Prominent people like Rizal, Del Pilar, Bonifacio and other illustrados are also mentioned which made the museum much more worth exploring. the rest of the second floor galleries are all about Philippine American War and its heroes. In my opinion, this is the largest Phil Am war exhibit i ever seen. Aguinaldo, Luna, Mabini and other combatants in Visayas and Mindanao are honored. Replicas or actual weapons used in war were there for exhibit. The trench room is one of the most innovative part of the modernized museum. In the last galleries, you will see Mabini's coffin and most importantly his very IMPORTANT message to the Filipino people before retiring from the world he already served. The museum has spacious corridors and well spaced rooms. According to a noted historian, the museum is originally very small only covering the structure outside with the tomb. the only problem is that the museum have too much extremely small texts which a bit hard to read. Anyway, Kudos to the NHCP administrators for vastly improving the museum to another underrated brilliant hero Apolinario Mabini. A trip to the small Malvar Shrine is recommended for first time Tanauan visitors. 2 Hours average exploring time.

The APOLINARIO MABINI SHRINE was expanded from its original size, thoroughly renovated and refurbished, and reopened on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary on July 23, 2014. No less than the Philippine President was there to cut the ceremonial ribbon. Mabini is known as the "Brains of the Katipunan" and the "Sublime Paralytic". He was born and raised in this town. The museum is divided into seven sections and features static, inter-active and audio-visual exhibits. It has everything and anything you need to know about one of the country's most revered heroes. Countless personal memorabilia are on display, including his exemplary school records. Picture-taking is allowed. His tomb lies in front of the compound where also stands an exact replica of the house where he was born. The museum is along the national highway, about fifteen minutes away from the town proper. It is open daily except Mondays and holidays. Admission is surprisingly free, but donations are welcome.

I've been to this place a few times due to local fieldtrips as I hail from Batangas. The shrine is so clean and has different rooms. Each room has its own information stored within. Every visit I made to the shrine adds knowledge. This is an ideal place to add to educational fieldtrips.

Honestly speaking, I know Apolinario Mabini as the "Brain of the Revolution" or "Utak ng Rebolusyon" and he was a polio, other than that I really do not know who is Mabini. That's why I am excited to visit the Mabini Shrine in Tanauan, Batangas.
We arrived in the museum at 9AM, I thought it was close because no one was in the guard house and even in the park. We wait (for 5mins only) until one of the care taker assist us. The museum is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM ( Not so sure, I forgot). There is no entrance fee, but they have donation box so they have a fund to maintain the beauty of the museum. The museum has two floors and seven rooms that have an aircon where you can go around. They have also an elevator for the person with disabilities so they will able to go up in the second floor. Per room, it looks like a book that has a chapters. :) From his early childhood, education up to his death. It was really good for everyone to visit this place so that we are aware to the life of Apolinario Mabini. :)

This is the place I recommend for everyone to visit once in their life. In this place, you can trip down memory lane in Mabini's house. I was surprised it is r3ally preserved well. Beside the house is the Mabini Museum. The museum was very informative and may I add "techie". The rooms were air-conditioned so you don't have to worry about the hot weather outside. The interior was super clean, cool and well-lit. The items were very preserved. You can also see Mabini's coffin, his improvised wheelchair, some documents of Philippine revolution and many more. I enjoyed my visit with my family.
